Last week, the TicketForce Team braved the icy temperatures of Chicago for the 35th Annual INTIX Conference and Exhibition that took place from January 28-30. Lynne King Smith and Brad Smith were joined by our sales team – Scott Greeban, Hershey Barber and Jay Phillips – plus Trade Show Coordinator, Joanna Smith.
We continued our 10-year anniversary celebration at booth #219 with orange martinis served up in souvenir TicketForce glasses. Plus, one lucky attendee won a Windows 8 tablet by visiting our booth. Congratulations, Sandy McCambridge!
Our team was lucky enough to see several clients and friends while in Chicago. Included in the mix of familiar faces were: Bill Berry, PACE Center; Shari Tuersher, Conexus Arts Center; Paul Sontz, Tickets Tonight; Michelle DeBeck, Morris Center; Heidi Robinson, Northern Arizona University; Joe Donlevy and Vawyna Nichols, Arts Boston; Daniel Houghey, Pepperdine University and more! We love eating and drinking with our amazing clients, and enjoyed eating our way through steak at Ditka's and Chicago deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati's Pizza.
As for the conference itself, INTIX didn't disappoint with quality programming and the reveal of its snazzy new logo. We also saw new logos and branding from a couple of other ticketing companies and found ourselves wondering, " Hmmmm…now why did they think of that?"
The overriding theme of this year's conference was challenging us to be futurists – "Tapping Our Inner Futurist Exploring Trends and Ideas Shaping the Future of Ticketing". Garry Golden (Professional Futurist) led both the opening and closing keynotes as well as brainstorming sessions each day. Garry pushed us all to give up old thought patterns that resist change, and to be prepared for continuing innovation across all aspects of ticketing.
